Community partnerships are critical to realising the social benefits of Golf It! We have established a variety of partnerships which started embedding as soon as we moved in to North East Glasgow. These are designed to be long lasting with the aim of positively influencing local people's lives offering employment and volunteering opportunities for those living within our amazing community.

On Bikes

ST PAUL’S
YOUTH FORUM

This inspirational youth group has reduced crime in the local area by 97% over 15 years. St Paul’s are based 0.5 miles from Golf It! but have also set up a base at Golf It! during our build process to help us engage with local people. When open, they will be fully integrated into the site and will run “On Bikes” a free of charge bike rental service for local people, have planted and will run the community orchard, and help to develop nature trails / signage within the site).

Ruchazie Pantry

Ruchazie Pantry is a community membership shop that will provide high quality, low cost food to those in the area. The shop is open to all. The Pantry will integrate and help establish our Community Gardens at the loch side, growing fresh vegetables that will be distributed back to local people.

Golf it Testimonial

Schools Programme

Over the next 5 years, 42,500 kids will be given access to FREE golf through the Golf It! schools programme. ALL primary schools in Glasgow will be offered ‘in-curriculum “Golf Taster” programme with each school going on to take part in an end of programme Schools Festival at Golf It! Each pupil will be given a free “Experience Golf It “membership to encourage families to come and enjoy the facility.

Apprenticeships and Volunteering

Our aim is to offer and provide a range of volunteering and apprenticeship programmes to over 100 local people each year. Our volunteering initiatives will help to expand skills and provide a route in to employment within golf operations, greenkeeping, retail, hospitality and child care.
